If you are driving to the island, you will be taking the ferry from Anacortes, WA, or Sidney, B.C. Detailed information on the ferry schedule will be included in your registration packet, along with directions for driving to the SKC gompa and please use the resources on this page for more. If you plan to come as a “walk on,” (no car) you will still need a ferry schedule and taxi information for the drive to SKC.
Travel to SKC from the Seattle Airport
You can fly to Seattle (SeaTac Airport) and then take a shuttle to Anacortes where you catch the ferry. There are two shuttle services for the drive from SeaTac airport to the Anacortes Ferry terminal: The Bellair Airporter Shuttle and Island Airporter. See links on the right for details.
Travel to SKC from Vancouver, BC
Take the Quick Shuttle from Vancouver to Bellingham Airport. From Bellingham Airport take Bellair Shuttle (see info on the right) to the Burlington stop. When contacting Bellair Shuttle be sure to let ticketing people know that you want to go to the Anacortes ferry terminal. There is an easy change of shuttles at the Burlington stop which they will explain to you. That is the shuttle that takes you to the Anacortes ferry terminal.

Island Airporter Shuttle: For our local airport shuttle, call Island Airporter (John) at 360-378-7438, or go to www.islandairporter.com. Island Airporter is a once-a-day van service and does not operate on Sundays, but it is very convenient and includes your walk-on ferry ticket.
