Costs for Short-Term Individual Retreats (Under 6 Months)
Meals
- The retreat center will provide two vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals per day for students performing individual retreats. If you would like your meals provided, the cost is $18 per day for two vegetarian meals (breakfast and a substantial lunch) plus tea/coffee and snacks or $23 for two non-vegetarian meals plus tea/coffee and snacks. You may bring your own snacks to eat in the evening. If scheduling permits and, where appropriate, a donation is made for coffee/tea and snacks, retreatants may cook for themselves at their own expense. This option is not available if the center is cooking for others at the same time. A retreat fee of $100 per week may be charged for supplies and support services where appropriate.

- Single retreat rooms in gompa: Small room: $55 per day for retreats up to one week; Large room: $60 per day for retreats up to one week
- Yurt: $40 per day for retreats up to one week
- Camping: $18 per day for using our tents, as available, or bring your own; platform provided. The daily charge is the same for platforms used for our large, walk-in canvas tents, our smaller camping tents, or the tent you bring with you.
- Retreat Hut: $50 per day for retreats up to one week.
Discounts (applicable to housing only, not food)
- For individual retreats from one week to one month, there is a 10% discount.
- For retreats of one month to six months there is a 20% discount.
- Discounts for Friends and Sustaining Supporters apply in addition to these discounts, resulting in total discounts up to 35%.

Long-Term Individual Retreats
Meals
- The rates for Long-Term Individual Retreats lasting six months or longer include vegetarian meals
- Or may be without meals if circumstances allow the retreatant to buy their own groceries and cook for themselves
- For non-vegetarian meals, add $100 per month
- A retreat fee of $100 per week may be charged for supplies and support services where appropriate
Accommodations
- Small room: $750 per month with meals; $450 per month without meals
- Large room: $1050 per month with meals; $750 per month without meals
- Yurt: $750 per month with meals; $450 per month without meals
- Retreat Hut: $750 per month with meals; $450 per month without meals
Discounts
Ordained sangha receive a 20% discount for Long-Term Individual Retreats lasting 6 months or longer, with rates with/without food as follows:
- Small room: $600/$360
- Large room: $840/$600
- Yurt or Retreat Hut: $600/$360
Group Retreats
- Rates for Group Retreats are announced on a retreat-by-retreat basis and always include food.
- Discounts for Friends and Sustaining Supporters apply to Group Retreats.
- Ordained sangha receive a 15% discount on Group Retreats.
Additional Discounts for Friends, Sustaining Supporters, & Ordained Sangha
- For Short-Term Individual Retreats, in addition to the discounts described above based on the length of the retreat, Friends of SKC receive a 10% discount
- Sustaining Supporters receive an additional 15% discount on Short-Term Individual Retreats
- The same discounts for Friends and Sustaining Supporters apply to Long-Term Individual Retreats (6 months or longer) and Group Retreats
- Ordained sangha receive a 20% discount on Long-Term Individual Retreats and a 15% discount on Group Retreats

Payments
- All payments to SKC should be made in US funds – cash, check, Visa/Mastercard, traveler’s checks or money order payable on a US bank.
- We charge $20 for handling any checks returned unpaid.
- We do not accept American Express or Discover.

Reservations & Cancellations
- If you need to cancel your reservation, we will issue credit in the amount of all payments made, less a $25 processing fee, towards another retreat on a space available basis.
- If you leave a group retreat before the retreat has ended, you will not receive a credit unless your departure is determined to have been necessary because of a medical or family emergency.
- All credits must be used within one year of the date they are given.
