Rooms in the Main Building
There are two individual retreat rooms located in the gompa building. These rooms are on the second floor and share a bathroom. Each room is furnished with a single bed. We provide all linens. There is an area to set up a shrine, a wardrobe for clothing, storage for books, etc. Zafus and zabutons from the shrine room are available for your use. Candles and incense are allowed in all of these areas, but the candles should be the votive type and placed in a holder. Tapers are not allowed. If candles and incense are used, they should not be left unattended. The retreat kitchen and shrine room are also located on the second floor of the main building.
The tents pictured here are 8’x10’ canvas wall tents on a 8’x14’ platform with comfortable cot, heavy protective white plastic 8’x14’ tarp, 4’ deck at front end, window in back wall, zippered screen on window and door flaps.
Tent platforms are located at the rear of the main building and up the rise behind the building. The platforms up the rise are very private. Some of the platforms are left empty for those who wish to bring their own camping tents or use one of the center’s smaller tents.
There are two bathrooms with showers in the main building. There is also an outdoor shower at the rear of the main building. It has hot and cold water. The tent sites are open and clear but surrounded by evergreen and deciduous trees and ‘ocean spray’ bushes.
A small, furnished yurt is available during warm weather. There are two bathrooms with showers in the main building and one outdoor shower with hot and cold water behind main building and right across from the yurt.
